Meet The Musicians

Meet the individuals that make ICEBERG more than just a band.  These guys have done it all before and you probably will recognize them from various former bands and appearances all over the midwest.  The current lineup is the best three musicians for the job.  ICEBERG is more than just a band, much much more indeed.

Jimmy Lee Isburg is a published independent artist and performer aside from the band.  He recently completed a 10 song studio release "TIP OF THE ISBURG" on his own label.  It has been well recieved both regionally and is being shopped for national release in the near future.  With ICEBERG Jimmy plays both guitar and bass guitar, as well as lead and backing vocals.  Jimmy is the country rock influence in the group, growing up inspired by groups like The Eagles, Marshall Tucker Band, Waylon and Willie, and a host of others.  His original songs are honest and genuine and have become favorites of the band's fan base.  While coutry rock is his specialty, he is also well versed in rock as well and doesn't limit his scope of music to a single genre.  ICEBERG is a variety band and Jimmy is the country rock ingredient in the blend. 

Monte Ray Knippling is a career musician with a passion for performing live.  Monte is the classic rock influence of ICEBERG.  Monte plays guitar and bass guitar and is lead and backing vocalist of the group.  He cites early influences as Waylon Jennings and Buck Owens as a youngster and later bands like Deep Purple, Bob Seger, ZZ Top, AC/DC and Van Halen were favorites.  Well schooled in rock and roll, Monte is a versatile and talented performer that spans all styles of music equally well.  From classic country to acid rock, Monte blurs all the lines and adds to the classic rock flavor to the bands overall sound.

Neil Jay Anthony is the drummer and vocalist of the band.  Neil brings a strong influence of alternative rock and heavy metal arena rock performing to the band.  His over the top drumming style and showmanship have made him a crowd favorite and a definate asset to the group.  His personal style brings a glam rock flavor to the band no matter what style of music the band is playing.  Visit Neil at www.myspace.com/nine_neil
